Search

There are two types of search in Legantoo. You can search in headings or texts of an open medium. With the help of the search you can quickly find headings of chapters or keywords in the text.

To perform a search, press the shortcut VoiceOver + M to open the menu and navigate to the main menu item „Search“. Then select the menu item „In Headings“ or „In Text“. A dialog box opens with a text field in which you can enter one or more search terms. Then press the ENTER key to start the process.

If your search term was found, a heading search will automatically navigate to that chapter, and if audio content is present, it will play immediately, while a text search will set the focus of your screen reader to the first paragraph found in the text area.

If the search has yielded multiple hits because the selected term occurs more than once in the text or in the headings, then you now have two options to jump to these search hits:

1. You go to the „Search“ menu and either click on the menu item „Next“ to navigate to the next result or click on the menu item „Previous“ to navigate to the previous result.
2. You go to the menu „Search“ and click on the menu item „List“. A list with all matches found will be displayed. You can now select a specific entry with the up and down arrow keys and jump directly to the relevant point in the chapter list or in the text area by pressing the ENTER key.
