In this section, you'll learn how to handle phrases, chapters, pages, bookmarks, and notes in Legantoo.
If you are looking for a specific phrase, chapter or page in a DAISY book, then click on the main menu item „Navigation“. Navigate with the arrow key down to the menu item „Phrase“, „Chapter“ or „Page“. Use the right arrow key to open the submenu with the items „Next“, „Previous“, „First“, „Last“ and „Go to“. Select one of these menu items by confirming with the ENTER key.
Clicking on one of these menu items takes you to the corresponding position of the DAISY book and playback starts.
If you click on the menu item „Go to“, you can enter the number of a phrase, chapter or page to jump to the corresponding position of the medium. To do this, close the window by clicking on the „OK“ button.
Legantoo also gives you the opportunity to work with bookmarks.
If you want to set a new bookmark at a certain point of a medium, then click on the main menu item „Bookmark“ in the menu bar. Use the arrow keys to navigate up or down to the menu item „Set“ and confirm with the ENTER key. This saves your bookmark in the open medium.
If you want to jump to an existing bookmark, then click on one of the menu items „Next“ or „Previous“ in the main menu „Bookmarks“ to move to the next or previous bookmark.
If you select the List menu item, Legantoo displays a list of existing bookmarks. You navigate in this list with the arrow keys. Press the ENTER key to select a specific bookmark to jump directly into the medium.
You do not want to use a bookmark anymore? No problem! Select the bookmark to remove. Then navigate to the menu item „Delete“ in the main menu „Bookmarks“ and press the ENTER key. You have irrevocably removed the selected bookmark.
Please note that newly created or deleted bookmarks will be synced via the Dropbox, if you have activated this in the settings, and the current state will be adjusted accordingly after opening Legantoo on another device.
To work with notes, it does not matter what type of media you use. The feature is equally available on all books.
If you want to create a note for a specific chapter, open the corresponding book in the library. Select a chapter to which you want to create a note and click on the main menu „File“. Then navigate to the menu item „Notes“ and press the ENTER key. You now have the opportunity to enter the note in a multi-line input field.
Once the text has been completed, finish this process by clicking on the „OK“ button. Now your note is saved to the appropriate chapter.
To find the note, you must open the book and chapter in which you saved the note. Then click on the main menu „File“ and then on the menu item „Notes“. Your previously saved note will now be displayed.
If you want to delete a note, open the desired book and chapter in which your note is stored. Go to the main menu „File“ and then navigate to the menu item „Notes“. Simply delete the entire text in the input field and confirm by clicking on the „OK“ button. This removes your note.
