Legantoo offers the user the possibility to adapt the program functions to his personal needs. Here you will learn how to proceed and what settings are available to you.
To edit the settings, swipe to the „More Options“ button and double-tap it. Now look for the „Preferences“ button and double tap on it. In the window that opens, navigate to the left and right by swiping. You can select or deselect checkboxes by double tapping.
The following sections describe the individual program settings in more detail. They are grouped according to the settings in which they are to be found.
Heading „Media device“
- Opening a book starts the audio playback
- If this option is activated, books are automatically played back after being selected in the library, provided that audio content is available. When this option is deactivated, playback must be controlled via the Audio menu.
- Play content automatically after chapter change
- If this option is activated, the selected chapters will automatically be played when you scroll through the chapters view if audio content is available. If this option is disabled, playback must be controlled via the Audio menu.
- Retain volume when book exchange
- If this option is activated and the volume is then changed in the Audio menu, this changed volume will be retained even if another book is opened from the library and it will automatically be set again the next time the program is started. Disabling this option uses the volume specified in the book instead. Please keep in mind that this setting also affects synchronized devices.
- Retain speed when book exchange
- If this option is activated and the speed is then set in the Audio menu, this changed speed will be maintained even if another book is opened from the library and it will automatically be reset at the next program start. Disabling this option uses the speed specified in the book instead. Please note that this setting also affects synchronized devices.
Heading „Display“
- Format for listing the search results
- Set in what form the results of a chapter or text search should be displayed. This information refers to the list items that you can retrieve from the „Search > List“ menu.
- Format for listing the bookmarks
- Set the way in which your bookmarks should be displayed. This information refers to the list entries that you will find in the „Bookmarks > List“ menu.
- Show entry count behind the categories
- If this option is activated, the number of imported media is displayed behind each main or subcategory.
Heading „Import“
- Import type
- Select whether you want to link to the original files when importing media, or copy the files to Legantoo's media directory.
- The following directory is opened first to select new media
- Here you can specify the folder from which you want to copy the media. This directory will be opened automatically when you import, but you can still change it manually.
- Suggest name for the new book and start the import immediately
- Here you can choose whether you want to import media without request or if you want to have the option to change the proposed book name and then start the process yourself.
Heading „Synchronization“
- Dropbox
- Activate or deactivate the data synchronization with your Dropbox.
- Settings
- If this option is activated, all Legatoo program settings will be synchronized via your Dropbox.
- Playback position
- If this option is activated, then the current playback position of all media played while using Legantoo will be synchronized via your Dropbox.
- Bookmarks
- Set whether you want to sync the created bookmarks with your Dropbox.
- Notes
- Set whether you want to sync the newly created or edited notes with your Dropbox.
More Options
The section „Synchronization“ also has a submenu with additional functions. To open the „Additional Options“ just double-tap the corresponding button.
- Generate key
- Use this feature to create a new passkey to your Dropbox account. This is required for synchronization on other devices.
- Import key
- Import an already existing access key. Re-authorizing Legantoo is not necessary for your Dropbox.
- Export key
- Export an access key generated on your system for use on other devices.
